How to get ALL EMULATORS+ROMs on your iPod/iPhone

FIRST OFF!.
-READ THE GODDAMN ANNOTATIONS.
-The GBA emulator USED TO COME with the Gameboy Color emulator, but doesn't any longer. You need to get them seperately.
-The PSX emulator requires you to manually add any BIOS or ROMs through iPhone Browser or SSH.
-YES, you need a Jailbroken iPod touch.
-The ROM folder is /var/mobile/Media/ROMs/-emulator-

since I know those are questions that will be asked.

This video was SUPPOSED to be a quick little upload from me, but I failed in that regard due to editing crap together. It took me 10 minutes to film--from getting ready, to setting stuff up, getting the camera good to go, filming, and putting the files on my computer---and 45 minutes to edit what you see here. I basically just tell you how to add the repo's for the emulator apps, and how to download/run them, as well as the ROMs. And I will have a video up sometime shortly(hopefully) on how to use iPhone Browser/WinSCP, which should be MUCH more coherent than this, as most of it takes place on the computer. It's damn hard to use an iPod with one hand while looking through a camera!

REPO TIME!

For the emulators themselves:
Stock Cydia Repos(Comes installed) and

ROMs:

EMULATOR NAMES:
GBA: gpSPhone
GB:gb4iphone
NES: NES
Snes: snes4iPhone
Genisis: Genesis4iphone
Playstation: PSX4iPhone

Make sure to grab the "Cracked" versions when available!

ANY OTHER QUESTIONS, ASK IN THE COMMENTS. I will be MORE THAN HAPPY to help, why do you think I post these tutorials? I like helping people!

Nokia N900 Unlocked Phone/Mobile Computer with 3.5-Inch Touchscreen, QWERTY, 5 MP Camera, Maemo Browser, 32 GB--U.S. Version with Full Warranty

Combining a mobile computer, cell phone, high-quality camera and portable media player into a single device, the Nokia N900 unlocked cell phone offers fast 3G connectivity, global roaming capabilities, and a wealth of messaging capabilities to keep you in touch with family, friends and business associates wherever you roam. It runs the new Linux-based Maemo operating system, which brings the benefits of your PC to your mobile world. Enjoy fast application processing and multitasking on the N900's live dashboard--a panoramic home screen that can be fully personalized with favorite shortcuts, widgets and applications--and experience the full web with the Maemo browser and high-speed wireless broadband connectivity. It's all accessed via the N900's 3.5-inch high-resolution touchscreen as well as the device's slide-out full QWERTY keyboard.

Take high-quality photos and widescreen videos using the 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. You'll also be able to tag photos with keywords and browse them using the tag cloud, geotag images with the location data of where they were shot, share online via Ovi Share or Flickr, or store for mobile viewing on the N900's 32 GB internal memory--which can also be expanded via optional microSD memory cards.

The quad-band Nokia N900 GSM/EDGE phone makes it easy to roam globally and stay in touch with voice and text messaging, and this model is also ready to run on 3G networks both in the US and internationally (900/1700/2100 MHz HSPA), enabling fast downloads and streaming multimedia while on the go. It also includes integrated Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11b/g) for accessing open networks at work, home, and on the road from a variety of wireless hotspots. You'll also be able to connect to a wide variety of peripherals--including stereo headphones--with the Bluetooth 2.1+EDR capabilities.

With the integrated A-GPS sensor, the device intuitively understands where it is, giving you the ability to search maps for addresses and points of interest using the Ovi Maps application and route a path to your destination.

Unlocked Phone
This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider. It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider. This phone comes with a full manufacturer's warranty.

When paired with a compatible 3G network, you'll enjoy a high-speed connection offering a variety of feature-rich wireless services--from data connectivity to your office to multimedia streaming, and take advantage of simultaneous voice and data services. In areas not served by a 3G network, you'll continue to receive data service via EDGE network (depending on network compatibility).

Note that the downloading of maps, games, music and videos and uploading of images and videos involves transferring large amounts of data. Your service provider may charge for the data transmission, and the availability of particular services and features may vary by carrier.

Archos 7 Unboxing and Review - Part 1

In this video, I'll be unboxing and reviewing the "Archos 7 Internet Media Tablet", as Archos calls it. The Archos 7 is a portable media player with a full built-in web browser which can display pages in full-size, play any kind of Flash video, view internet TV, store music, video, and even download/save them. After owning the original Archos 700 Mobile DVR for the last few years, I was delighted to see an updated model available.

Originally, it was intended as a gift for my 18th birthday (yesterday, October 29th), however UPS and Expansys messed up the delivery time. Well, once it is delivered eventually, I'm happy! As it happened, that was today. :)

[CES '08] Opera Browser Coming To The iPhone

http://www.uberpulse.com/us/2008/01/ces_8_opera_browser_arrives_on_iphone.php

The folks at Opera confirmed the soon availability of the Opera browser for the Apple iPhone. Also at CES, the Swedish company launched Opera 9 for devices running Linux, based on the same core engine as the desktop browser and that could be used in portable media players like the ones built by Archos as well as set top boxes. It's based on the same core engine as the Opera desktop browser and ships with an SDK for developers to adapt it to their devices. A move similar to Mozilla's launch of Mobile Firefox.

"Firefox comes from a very desktop centric world and we have been on the embedded side for many many years. We have a strong handling of the memory techniques, small footprint and efficiency on using the CPU cycles as little as possible", said David Rosén, a software engineer at Opera.

HP Mobile Internet Experience On VMware Fusion

Took me several hours and was a severe pain, however, I managed to get HP's Mobile Internet Experience (MIE), downloaded from HP's site, running on VMware Fusion. All hardware works now including network, audio, and monitor/video card. This was particularly difficult with no developer tools and kernel source with the release. Being based on Ubuntu 8.04, I was able to correct most of the issues using that source but sticking with the stock kernel. This makes a nice stand alone media player / web browser VM.

The video is laggy and this VM is running much slower than normal. This is because the screen capture software was on the same machine running the VM, so there is a lot of overhead. This runs at least 10 times faster alone. Very nice package HP came up with here. Keep up the good work HP! This is how you do a mean and lean UI in Linux with some style! Defiantly makes me want to pick up an HP Mini with this OS.

P.S. HP, please make this a little more friendly for developers, release source so we can build on to this platform!

Nokia N900 Mobile Phone - part 1 - unboxing & overview

The Nokia N900 Mobile Phone, wow did I say mobile phone. The internet tablets that have gone before, the N700, N710 & N800 have all been pretty cool devices. However, none of them could make phone calls. Well, the N900 is almost available and it DOES make calls. It also sports a rather cool OS called Maemo. Check out my early unboxing & overview.

MindTrek Launchpad: Dazzboard

http://techpulse360.com/2009/10/01/dazzboard-connects-itunes-to-all-smartphones-social-networks-receives-funding/

Presenting at the MindTrek conference today, is worldwide famous Finnish startup Linkotec and its Dazzboard service described as the open iTunes for 2.2 billion mobile devices.

Its the first time ever that you have been able to build a global mobile service. Earlier you needed to have a contract with all the carriers in all the countries. Now any one service can be mobile service, explains Linkotec CEO Tero Salonen.

Linkotec claims that its Web browser plug-in for Internet Explorer and Firefox (Windows only) can detect any mobile devices and extract/copy multimedia content (audio, video and applications) from and to it without the need to install a proprietary device manager software that usually comes with a device (iTunes, Ovi).

Instead of installing a 90MB media manager, you will get a 1MB browser plug-in the way we track and connect to a device can not be prevented by the device vendor, adds Salonen.

Android smartphones to gain iTunes access

Dazzboard is first targeting Google Android smartphones it expects 50 million devices 2010 which do not come with a multimedia content manager I cant believe Google forgot about that!

We can provide the iTunes shop for Android devices, claims Salonen.

Mobile AR Cooking Game "PAN MASTER"

Pan Master is a mobile AR game using our Mobile AR game engine. In this mobile AR game, players can control the heat by adjusting the physical distance of the mobile device (camera) to the marker. This would mean that both distance and time could be integrated to provide a more authentic cooking experience to the player. The player enjoyment and engagement can be enhanced through the integration of the two factors, physical distance and timing. - MIME Lab, National University of Singapore
