Week 4 & 5 - Designing for the Small Screen (9/15 - 9/28)

Introduction

First and foremost, what sets a mobile device apart from a traditional computer is its size. In this two-week module*, we are going to take a look at some designs that work work well on the small screen... and some that don't. We're going to learn some of the best techniques to make the most of the screen real estate available to us on a mobile browser. We'll look at current mobile apps and mobile media and extract from them a working understanding of how to effectively and efficiently take advantage of the small screen.
